If you backed Camelot Unchained when it first hit Kickstarter, you’ve been waiting a while now for your chance at beta — whatever phase that may be. The good news is you don’t have to wait much longer. Today, Mark Jacobs hosted a stream on Twitch announcing two beta-related dates. The first — which occurs on June 12 — is what they’re calling a “feature lock” date. On this day, the developer will stop adding new features to the alpha build in preparation for the beta.
Beta 1 will kick off on July 4, 2018. This is currently set to last for about four months and the devs promise that players will see more in game than they have over the past year. More good news is that because of the extended delay of the game’s beta, City State is allowing backers into earlier beta phases. For example, backers who would have entered in Beta 1 were allowed in for the last parts of the alpha.
